I’ve been trying out a selection of skincare from PHB Ethical Beauty for a couple of weeks now – you can read a little more about the history of the brand and their values in my post on their Shampoo & Conditioner here, but suffice to say that it’s fantastic to have a beauty brand that doesn’t use any nasties right here on my doorstep.

When I visited PHB, Georgie chatted to me about my skin for some time and based on my description (dehydrated, blemish prone, never had any sensitivity problems until this flare up of dermatitis/eczema that I’ve had on my mouth/lips for the last 6 months or so, which has now spread to my eye – joy), she recommended the Hydrating range, along with their Aloe based Skin Restore Gel. So, hands up who knew that Birmingham has its very own ethical beauty brand? I hang my head in shame at the fact that I didn’t, especially now I’ve had the chance to try some of their products!

PHB Ethical Beauty was launched by Rose Brown in 2012. She was keen to develop a range of products that used cutting edge natural formulas and ethically sourced ingredients. The entire collection is organic, and free from alcohol, animal ingredients, animal testing, parabens, SLS, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, phtalates and petrochemicals.
