It’s a Christmas of firsts for us this year – first one as a married couple, first one cooking our own Christmas dinner, first one in our new flat. So, on this rather special year I find myself asking… what to wear?
Some years I make my own festive frock, others I buy one, but I always like to go full on Christmas cutesy (if you’re curious here are my outfits from 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011). I was impressed with last year’s tartan number from LindyBop (excellent value, brilliant range of sizes) so thought I’d check out their offerings this year. Here are 5 of my favourites…
1. Renee Green Alpine Twin Set This cute swing dress and jacket combo was actually top of my list last year but had already sold out in my size. Unfortunately the same is true this year also, but as of writing this it’s still available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 20 and 26.
I feel like this one kinda screams ‘Betty Draper after too much egg nog’, and I love it.
As cutesey Christmas prints go, this one’s pretty subtle, and could easily be worn for the rest of Winter with thick tighs, boots and a chunky knit.
I love that the colour choice for this is a little bit more unusual, but the icy blues still feel very seasonal.
As Birmingham is famous for it’s Frankfurt Christmas Market, I couldn’t not include this – would love to wear it whilst sipping a Gluhwein!
Have you picked out your Christmas dress yet? Or are you more of a jumper and jeans type? Let me know in the comments!
