Yes, I know, it’s February. It’s blooming freezing outside, and I’m showing you swimwear. However, during these colder months one of the queries I get from clients every year is ‘I’m off for some Winter sun, where can I get swimwear?!’ – luckily this is much less of an issue now than it used to be, when you would have to turn to expensive ‘cruise line’ collections to get out of season holiday wear. I’m not stealing away for a holiday, but I am at that most delicious part of the wedding planning process where we are looking at booking our honeymoon.
And although I don’t think we’ll be going with a beach destination, I still think that some new swimwear is a must – I plan on spending a lot of time relaxing in pools and spas! So, whether you’re heading on hols, or just thinking ahead for Spring and Summer, here are five swimwear picks. Close your eyes and think of warmer times, then continue!
I have some specific things I like when it comes to bikinis and swimsuits – I like a high waist to keep my tummy under control (no body hate here, all power to those who let their tummies go free, I just feel more comfortable that way!), I like some support for my boobs (no triangles tops here, that would only lead to wardrobe malfunction disaster), and of course I love some bright colours.
I’ve been exclusively in bikinis for the last few years – I got a fab South Beach number for my last hol to Vegas (urgh how can that be so long ago now!) so had to include them in this wishlist, and how perfect would a white Esther Williams bikini be for a honeymoon?!) However, swimsuits are starting to tempt me again and I love the bright polkadots of the Lepel Minnie from House of Fraser. Hmmm, choices choices!
